Girls Aloud have shared another classic performance from their vault. The group’s live rendition of “Call the Shots,” filmed at London’s O2 Arena during their 2008 Tangled Up Tour, is now available to watch on their official YouTube channel.
The performance is the latest in a series of archival videos from the tour to arrive on YouTube. Earlier this month, Girls Aloud shared footage of “Sexy! No No No,” followed by live performances of album cuts “Close To Love” and “Black Jacks.” All four songs originally appeared on the group’s fourth studio album, Tangled Up.
Released in 2007, “Call the Shots” served as the album’s second single, following “Sexy! No No No.” Written by Miranda Cooper, Brian Higgins, Tim Powell, Giselle Sommerville, and Lisa Cowling, the synth-pop, girl power-inspired track became another major hit for the group, peaking at No. 3 on the U.K. Singles Chart. Tangled Up also featured the singles “Can’t Speak French” and “Sexy! No No No,” the latter of which reached No. 5 in the U.K. The album was certified platinum in the U.K. and gold in Ireland, and has since become one of the most acclaimed releases in the group’s catalog.
The accompanying Tangled Up Tour spanned 35 shows across two legs. The arena trek included stops in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Edinburgh, and London, where Girls Aloud performed two nights at the O2 Arena.
Back in 2024, members Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh reunited for The Girls Aloud Show tour, their first trek since Sarah Harding’s death in 2021. The run celebrated more than two decades of Girls Aloud’s catalog and included five shows at London’s O2 Arena.
A deluxe reissue of Tangled Up also dropped alongside the “Call the Shots” live clip. Alongside B-sides, alternative mixes and remixes, the expanded set includes two previously unheard tracks: “What’s A Girl To Do” and “My Heart.” It is available in three versions: a colored vinyl, a picture disc, and a 3CD set.
