It has not been a last few days for the most highly unqualified Secretary of Defense in the history of the United States, Pete Hegseth.
Spotted on Crooks & Liars via The Washington Post, Kegsbreath has been caught red-handed hiring an army of MAGA influencers for secret roles in the Pentagon, and he won’t say what exactly they are doing in those roles.
Per Crooks & Liars:
This band of former military personnel turned online Right-wing influencers turned secret Pentagon employees is reported to include the likes of retired Air Force colonel Rob Maness, who boasts upwards of 130,000 followers on X; retired Army colonel Kurt Schlichter, with more than 620,000 followers; and retired colonel Thomas Anderson, who seems to have made it his life’s mission to defend scandal-plagued Hegseth to his 323,000 X followers under the online moniker “CynicalPublius.”
According to the website, the online MAGA influencers have been given official government emails with the .civ suffix, indicating they are holding positions as civilian employees, not hired contractors or military personnel.
Information on Hegseth’s suspicious hires is scarce, with The Washington Post reporting they were hired as “highly qualified experts” or “special government employees.” The DOD (Department of Defense), which claims to be the most transparent Defense Department in American history, isn’t saying anything about these Hegseth cronies.
The MAGA Trolls Are Defending Trump & Hegseth Online
One thing is for certain: they are very loyal to Donald Trump and will defend both Orange Mussolini and Kegsbreath.
Maness, one of the alleged members of the MAGA troll army, wrote an open letter in the Daily Mail calling for Hegseth to find the “disloyal” government employees whom he claims have “plagued the Pentagon and the broader federal bureaucracy for years.”
Schlichter was also caught on X (formerly Twitter) glazing Hegseth, sharing a video of the self-proclaimed Secretary of War commending the sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln amid reports of the service members on the carrier about the low morale due to the poor conditions while the ship was on a record-breaking deployment due to Trump’s stupid war with Iran.
Welp.
That’s not the only thing Hegseth is getting blasted for on social media. After he shared a photo of two female Canadian cadets, basically kids, thinking it was some sort of owning in Canada as Trump stupidly got us in a trade war with our neighbors to the North, instead he is getting reminded of his epic workout fails in his comments under the post.
Pete Hegseth can kick all of the rocks.
