Cardi B sounds off on the Lindsay Clancy case during a Spaces session.
Clancy, a former nurse, is facing charges in connection with the deaths of her three children, who prosecutors allege she strangles. Not holding back, the New York rapper said Clancy should be held accountable for he alleged actions.
“One thing about me, when it comes to kids, is stop looking for different loopholes to give this woman an excuse for why these three kids are dead,” she said. “A lot of y’all are talking about her husband probably did it, or the system failed her. We need to stop looking for an excuse. If your mental health is so fucked up that you kill three f*cking kids, maybe you shouldn’t be on the streets.”
Bardi also addressed postpartum depression, arguing that the condition should not be used to excuse violence against children.
“A lot of women in our hood are suffering from postpartum depression. There are women in our hoods whom nobody offered to help with their children. Does that give them an excuse to kill their kids?”
Cardi questioned why people have raised money for Clancy while she faces such serious charges.
“The b*tches raised a million f*cking dollars. Why are we giving somebody that is on trial for murdering her kids a million dollars? Go give that sh*t to a charity.”
Clancy’s trial is underway in Plymouth, Massachusetts. She has not denied the allegations against her.
