The Australian electronic-rock band will be hitting the road again in 2025, following on from a huge number of festival slots across this past summer.

Two new UK shows have been lined up, and take place in Halifax and Scarborough. The first of which will be a headline slot at the TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall event, which is taking place on Saturday June 14.

Rob Swire and co. join a star-studded line-up for the event, which includes Weezer, James, The Libertines, Simple Minds, Khruangbin, Texas and more.

Announcing the news, Nicky Chance Tompson, CEO of The Piece Hall charitable trust said:  “Fans old and new will be incredibly excited to hear we are welcoming electronic pioneers Pendulum. Their huge and unique sound combined with our stunning backdrop means we are in for one very powerful show.”

The second of the new shows is a headline slot at TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Friday June 20. Other performers for the event include Rag’n’Bone Man, Blossoms, Shed Seven, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and The Script.

“Pendulum are one of the most important bands of the last 20 years and we are delighted to be adding them to our list of headliners for 2025,” said Scarborough OAT venue programmer Julian Murray, of promoters Cuffe and Taylor.

“They returned earlier this year with two brilliant EPs [‘Elemental’ and ‘Anima’] that add to an incredible body of work which has won them an army of fans around the world and seen them headline some of the biggest venues and festivals. This is going to be another unmissable night at this very special venue.”

Pendulum’s UK live shows are:

JUNE
14 – TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall, Halifax
20 – TK Maxx presents Open Air Theatre, Scarborough

Earlier this year, Pendulum were named by NME as one of the most impressive performers at the 2024 edition of Reading & Leeds festival.

“You’d be forgiven for thinking that energy may have been waning by the final day of the festival but Pendulum came looking for intensity from the crowd, and refused to leave until they found it,” the review read.

“Just days before the set, the band told NME that they were looking to make their sound ‘much heavier’ than ever before, and given the force and conviction of their Sunday set, it appears they’ve already reached the new heights they hoped for.”

Shortly before the set, frontman Rob Swire spoke to NME about new single ‘Napalm’, featuring Joey Valance and Brae. Recalling how it signals what is yet to come from the band, he said: “I want to take it much heavier. I know drum ‘n’ bass is having a moment again and we keep getting every Tom, Dick and Harry across our entire work team being like, ‘You guys have to get in on this and start making some DnB that fits in Hedex’s set’, but it’s just the last thing I want to fucking do.

“I feel most comfortable when we’re in between worlds. As soon as it goes too metal or too DnB, then I start to feel weird about it. The middle of that ground is the perfect zone for us. I want to take it much heavier if we can.”
