Fontaines D.C. have announced their biggest ever headline shows, taking place across the UK next summer.

The announcement comes following tickets for their 2026 tour going on sale this morning, and many dates selling out within minutes, including arena shows in Spain, Italy, France, and all across the UK.
Now, the Irish indie-rock giants have confirmed more headline shows taking place across the UK in summer 2027, and the five new outdoor shows mark the biggest in their career so far and celebrate upcoming album ‘Dopamine Chamber’.
Newly-announced dates kick off at Blackweir Fields in Cardiff on June 29, and are followed by slots in Newcastle‘s St James’ Park, Manchester’s Heaton Park, Glasgow Green and London Stadium.
Support for all five new shows comes from Little Simz and Viagra Boys, and the first show in Cardiff comes on the heels of two recently announced gigs at Slane Castle in Ireland, where Grian Chatten and co. will play to a combined 160,000 people over two nights.

While those two Ireland shows take place on Glastonbury weekend (Saturday June 26 and Sunday June 27), there is still a gap in Fontaines’ schedule for Friday June 25 – meaning that the chances of a Worthy Farm appearance are on the cards.
At the time of writing, no acts have been confirmed for Glastonbury 2027.
Tickets for the five new 2027 shows go on sale on Thursday September 10 at 10am BST. An artist pre-sale starts on Tuesday (September 8), and those who have already pre-ordered the new album will get automatic access.

For the 2026 arena shows in the UK and Europe they will be joined by Chalk, and for their two shows at Slane Castle, the band have enlisted support from Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach.
With the latter, they will become only the third Irish act to headline Slane Castle, following Thin Lizzy in 1981 and U2 in 2001. Other huge headline acts have included The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Guns N’ Roses, Oasis, Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Eminem and Harry Styles.
‘Dopamine Chamber’ drops on October 16 via XL Recordings – produced by James Ford and following their UK platinum-certified 2024 album ‘Romance’. It has already been previewed by the lead single ‘Marianne’ and further new songs ‘Six Shot Morning’ and ‘Happy, For You’.
The latter got its live debut at Leeds Festival on Saturday (August 29), after technical and logistical problems forced them to cut the track from their Reading headline show the previous evening.
NME awarded Fontaines D.C.’s Reading headline performance four-and-a-half stars, writing: “Sorry for the short set,” ends Chatten before the pure anxiety explosion of the full stop of ‘Starburster’. We hear that three songs – and reportedly another never-played-before new one – were cut from the setlist due to the delay, and we envy the people at the sister site in Leeds who we assume are going to get the full Fontaines R+L headline experience as it was intended.
“Either way, tonight was a deserved coronation from the band of our time, even if we didn’t get them in full.”
More recently, Grian Chatten revealed why he wore the shirt of Cwmbran Celtic football club during the band’s headline set at Reading Festival 2026, and the band have also been confirmed to headline Lollapalooza India.
