Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film, the concert movie Cameron Winter At Carnegie Hall, has announced the date and location for its world premiere.

The film captured the Geese frontman’s December 11, 2025 performance at the iconic music venue in New York, which was also recorded for the album ‘Live At Carnegie Hall’. Filmmaker Benny Safdie co-produced the movie, and served as camera operator during the production. The film is scheduled for release this winter, with US dates below, but has recently announced its world premiere date.
The movie will make its bow at the New York Film Festival on October 1, with both Anderson and Winter in attendance. The film will be projected on 35mm film, having been partly shot on the format. The accompanying album will be released a few days later on October 9 and can be pre-ordered here. Fans spotted Anderson filming the show on the night, with audience footage showing him operating a camera during ‘Nina + Field Of Cops’.
This will be Anderson’s first concert film, with the One Battle After Another director having made numerous music videos over his career, and directed the 2015 music documentary Junun, which followed the collaboration between Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur, the English composer and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, and the Indian ensemble the Rajasthan Express on the titular album.

NME gave Winter’s recent concert at London’s Roundhouse a glowing five-star review, writing: “Cameron Winter has the power, talent and magnetism of a future great – a star to go the distance with just that voice, a piano and a whole world quite literally at his fingertips.”
