HBO CEO Casey Bloys confirmed House Of The Dragon would end with season four, which was always the plan to begin with.

When asked by Deadline if it’s the final season, Bloys said: “Yes, that is the idea. The idea has always been to follow the history of the Targaryens. If you know the books, you know how the Targaryens end up. So there is a natural end to this particular history of that House of the Targaryens.”

Does season 4 have a release date?

The fourth season is set to be released in 2028, but an exact date is yet to be announced.

Considering past seasons have premiered in either June or August, it’s likely the final season will debut sometime in summer 2028.
