Every song on the Trying season five soundtrack
Trying season five features original music by Orla Gartland, who has written eight new songs for the soundtrack.
The Dublin-born, London-based artist follows Guy Garvey, Maisie Peters, Bear’s Den and BEKA, who wrote and performed the soundtracks for the show’s first four seasons.
Gartland’s soundtrack includes collaborations with Matt Maltese, Liang Lawrence and Martin Luke Brown. The songs were written for the closing scenes of each episode, with one original track set to appear in every instalment of the new season.
Speaking about the project, Gartland said the songs began as pieces about the characters’ stories, before becoming more personal and drawing on her own experiences of “love, growth, family”.
