NewJeans’ Tokyo Dome Fanmeet Tickets Being Resold By Scalpers For Ridiculously High Prices

NewJeans is set to have their first official fanmeeting in Japan, Bunnies Camp 2024, at Tokyo Dome on June 26 and 27. Preceding this event, the girl group is releasing both Korean and their first Japanese singles on May 24 and June 21 respectively: “How Sweet” and “Bubble Gum” are coming out this month, and “Supernatural” and “Right Now” are coming out in June.

Despite the fact that NewJeans hasn’t yet had their Japanese debut, the tickets for their upcoming Japan fanmeeting have already sold out, even though the dates are during weekdays.

Unfortunately, however, it seems that many of the tickets purchased were done so by scalpers, who are now trying to resell the tickets for astronomically high prices.

Hyein (NewJeans)

The original prices of the tickets ranged from 13,000 yen to 22,000 yen (or about $84 USD to $143 USD). The scalped tickets, which have been appearing on a Japanese ticket trading site, are going for as high as 100,000 yen (or about $650 USD).

Minji (NewJeans)

While it’s impressive that a group still as young as NewJeans (who haven’t yet had their two-year anniversary since debut) could have tickets being resold at such high prices, fans are understandably upset that scalpers were able to purchase and then resell the tickets at such a ridiculous increase.

There hasn’t been any word on whether or not anything can be done about the scalped tickets at this time.
