Beyoncé Releases “PONY UP REMIX” of “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM”

As COWBOY CARTER approaches its week-long arrival anniversary, Beyoncé surprised fans with a remix of “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM.” Dubbed the “PONY UP REMIX,” the current Queen of Country infuses the track with some upbeat New Orleans bounce – and tacks a whole new verse (and dance breakdown) onto the second half.

“Now Imma need all my cowboys to the dancefloor (Hoops, spurs, boots),” she announces during the breakdown, before kicking off the brand-new second verse.

“Need you to end this drought, take me downtown / Gon’ leave the truck, whiskey, baby / Let’s get weekend (Weekend) wasted,” she delivers on the new run of bars. “Might as well just throw it all (Woo-woo) / And pony up, b*tch, don’t hold back on me.”

In tandem with the unexpected anthemic dancefloor remix of the COWBOY CARTER single, Beyoncé also launched a new website: beencountry.com.

The site is a compilation of country-coded photos.  On the bottom right, one image reads: “This ain’t a country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album.” Other images include vintage shots of Beyoncé as well as a banjo and a recent standout shot of the songstress in an American flag leotard.
