BPM Entertainment, Home To VIVIZ And SHINee’s Taemin, To Debut New Girl Group BADVILLAIN

Originally founded in 2021, BPM Entertainment is still a relatively small company that is best-known for forming VIVIZ after GFRIEND suddenly disbanded. Their three members — EunhaSinB, and Umji — joined former SISTAR member Soyou as the first artists at the newly developed entertainment label that same year, and they have gone on to enlist Ha SungwoonLee MujinBe’OMighty Mouth, and former NU’EST member Ren over the next year or so.

Most recently, the label also managed to work out a contract agreement with SHINee‘s Taemin after he suddenly left SM Entertainment, and will be promoting his solo work for the foreseeable future.

And earlier today, out of seemingly nowhere, BPM Entertainment revealed that they will soon be debuting a new girl group named BADVILLAIN.

Nothing has been revealed about the members so far, other than it appears to be a six-member group. The teaser that the label shared also suggests a dark, girl crush concept, which is fitting given their name.

Some fans reacted with excitement to the news, curious to see how BPM Entertainment will promote a new girl group that seems to have a much different aesthetic than VIVIZ.

Not everyone shared the excitement, though. In the comments of the YouTube video, many people expressed concern for how VIVIZ’s career will be impacted by a new girl group, and whether or not BPM Entertainment will be able to give them the time and attention they deserve if they debut this new artist.

A debut date hasn’t been revealed for BADVILLAIN just yet, though we can assume that it will be relatively soon. Keep your eye out for more information about the group’s members as it’s revealed.
