Hailing from Copenhagen, In Atlas’ second album, Where the Wildflowers Grow is a synthesized landscape of dreamy dance-orientated songs—ones that tease in 1980s nostalgia but also feel very of-the-moment. “Concerned with emotional liberation, serving as a testament to the strength of emotions and the journey towards embracing one’s own highly sensitive nature,” the LP sits somewhere between Mary Moor‘s “Pretty Day” and Marie Davidson, a solid contemporary to the steamy Cosmetics or the emotive Tempers.
The title song, “Where the Wildflowers Grow” is subdued dark dance drenched in melancholy as In Atlas’ vocals glide overtop the synth patterns with ease. An amalgamation of sexy and sweet, its very core is the epitome of the innocence and hope of spring, Listen below:
