City Girls Duo performed “No Bars” and “Face Down” at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, where they were also nominated for best group. Electrifying the “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023 stage this year.
JT opened the show, performing her latest single, “No Bars,” taking center stage. Shortly after, she was joined by Yung Miami for a performance of their single “Face Down.” captivating the audience.
One artist that attended to witness the celebration was Los Angeles-based female rapper, songwriter, and film producer Helecia Choyce, better known as Rapper SKG. Receiving her plaques for previous work at the Legendary “Death Row Records” and also receiving her plaques for her present work with BLAKDOUT Records, SKG is proving that any artist can work hard as an independent artist and be successful.
Sharing her experience of watching City Girls perform; SKG said,
“The way JT opened up the show, she set the tone for the rest of the performance, she really owned the stage and worked the room”.
Yung Miami delivered and received this year’s ceremony, taking home the “Best Hip Hop” award for her YouTube talk show series “Caresha Please.” The interview-style discussion finds Yung Miami engaging in raw and unfiltered conversations with her friends and peers across the industry.
The ladies put rumors of a potential City Girls’ separation to bed this summer with the release of their “Act Bad” collaboration with Diddy and Fabolous. The duo are reportedly currently working on their unnamed third studio album. They gave fans a preview of what’s to come with recently with their latest single, “I Need a Thug.” The song features LL Cool J’s classic record, “I Need Love.”
