Australian three-piece HEADSEND have announced their second EP, A Delicate Balance, which will arrive November 6. The five-track project includes the newly released single “Biopsy Of An Unknown Growth,” along with previous track “Free” and live favorite “Slayerish.” The band have also shared an accompanying video for “Biopsy Of An Unknown Growth.”
A Delicate Balance was recorded live in Byron Bay with producer Nick DiDia and follows HEADSEND’s debut EP, Angel Glands. Discussing the new project, Rasmus King said the EP is not intended to tell a single story. “‘A Delicate Balance’ isn’t a story or about ‘anything’. Just a collection of different feelings,” he said. “I like that songs mean different things to people. I don’t wanna ruin that. That’s the best part.”
The video for “Biopsy Of An Unknown Growth” documents HEADSEND’s first tour outside their native Australia. The footage follows the band traveling across North America, where they supported Eagles of Death Metal and played headline dates in the U.S. and Canada. HEADSEND subsequently traveled to the U.K. for their first shows there, including an August 30 appearance at London’s All Points East festival. Their European itinerary continues with dates in Dublin, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Berlin before Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival.
HEADSEND consists of brothers Rasmus and Kyuss King alongside their high school friend Bon Soric. In 2025, the group supported Wunderhorse on the band’s sold-out Australian tour, and they have since appeared on arena and stadium bills with Tool and AC/DC. Earlier HEADSEND recordings include the singles “Stove” and “Chugg,” followed by Angel Glands, with each recorded live in the studio. In May 2026, the trio played a sold-out headline show in Sydney before heading to North America for summer dates with Eagles of Death Metal. Following their current U.K. and European run, HEADSEND are scheduled to return to Australia for Rolling Sets Festival dates in Tweed Heads on November 28 and Newcastle on December 5.
