NME caught Dove Ellis live at London’s Alexandra Palace Theatre in April, and gave the performance a glowing four-and-a-half-star review. It praised the musician’s “captivating voice” and “unpredictable approach” on stage.

In a four-star review of ‘Blizzard’, NME described the album as “mostly a collection of solid guitar songs, and it captures the insatiable energy that’s garnered Ellis his critical acclaim so early in his career”

It added: “Though he could push his sound to be a bit more personal, he’s already armed with a generational voice, an explorative mindset and a singular writing style. Something exciting is bound to emerge from the storm.”

Ellis also contributed to the Mercury-nominated ‘Help(2)’ charity record for War Child. He teamed up with Anna Calvi, Ellie Rowsell and Nilüfer Yanya on the track ‘Sunday Light’.

Meanwhile, Dove Ellis is set to appear at Tyler, The Creator’s takeover of All Points East in London later this month.
