Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 Great American State Fair announces Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, Flo Rida, Bret Michaels while Morris Day & The Time drop out

Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli and more are set to perform at The Great American State Fair as part of Donald Trump‘s Freedom 250 celebration – though some acts have already pulled out.

The event is scheduled to take place at the National Mall in Washington D.C. between June 25 and July 10.

Per an official listing, the “once-in-a-generation celebration” will “unite and showcase all 56 US states and territories in a single World’s Fair-scale event”.

“This is an opportunity for visitors from across America to experience an unforgettable celebration of the people and traditions that define our nation,” it adds. “Our nation unites diverse states and territories to form the strongest country in the world.”

There’ll be live music, carnival rides and numerous partner activations, where attendees “can taste, touch, and experience what makes each state and territory unique”.

Spanning from the US Capitol to the Washington Monument, The Great American State Fair will see Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli take to the stage. Other performers include Flo Rida, Poison frontman Bret Michaels, and The Commodores.

Despite being featured on the line-up announcement yesterday (Wednesday May 27), Morris Day & The Time have since taken to social media to confirm that they won’t be appearing.

“Contrary to rumour, Morris Day & The Time will not be performing at the ‘Great American State Fair’,” the post read. In the caption, Day wrote: “It’s A No For Me .”

Young MC has also dropped out, after being included on the bill.”I HAVE INFORMED MY AGENTS THAT I WILL NOT BE PERFORMING AT THE FREEDOM 250 EVENT,” he said, claiming: “The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event.

“And despite the claims by the organisers that the event is non-partisan, SPIN magazine describes it as Trump-backed. I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically charged.”

In other news, Trump has shared his less-than-glowing thoughts on the final episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, comparing the host to a “dead person” and throwing him into a bin in an AI-generated video.

Meanwhile, a writer on The Simpsons who “predicted” Trump’s presidency has announced his own run for the White House in the 2028 US election.
