New York, NY – May 1, 2026 – Sony Music Entertainment today announced the premiere of Cut, Color, Kill, a new true crime podcast that investigates the brutal murder of celebrity hairstylist Fabio Sementilli and the dark web of betrayal, ambition, and secrecy that surrounded his death. Hosted by Jonathan Hirsch, the series takes listeners inside a case that stunned the beauty industry and unearths the depths of what Fabio was up against in his personal life. In January 2017, Fabio Sementilli — a globally known hairstylist to the stars — was found stabbed to death on the patio outside of his Los Angeles home. The crime initially appeared to be a violent home invasion, but authorities soon uncovered a far more disturbing narrative, one that would lead to accusations of conspiracy, a double life, a divided family, and a murder for hire plot. Across six episodes, Cut, Color, Kill details the investigation from the moments immediately following the meticulous murder through the years-long legal battle that followed.
Through police and court records and firsthand accounts, the podcast examines how the case against Monica Sementilli — Fabio’s wife of nearly 20 years — and her lover, Robert Baker, was built and why doubts continue to linger for some family members. Cut, Color, Kill features exclusive interviews, recordings of conspiring conversations, and never-before-heard details, bringing listeners inside the lives of those affected by the murder, including Fabio’s family and friends, colleagues, investigators, and prosecutors. Along the way, the series asks not only how Fabio ended up in the crosshairs of a murderous plot but also details the mistakes the murderers made along the way that ultimately led to their apprehension.
