Kaley Cuoco has expressed interest in playing Dolly Parton in a potential biopic about the country music icon.

The actress, who is known for starring in The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant, recently appeared in MGM+ series Vanished with Sam Claflin.
The pair sat down with NME and were asked about whether there were any music stars they would like to play in a potential biopic.
When Claflin suggested his fellow star play Parton, Cuoco replied: “Oh yes! That is a great idea. I am in love with her, I just hear the nicest things about her.
“You know what I love about her? Her and her husband live in separate houses. I know he’s passed, but she always talked about that, they were together forever and I’m like, ‘That’s how to do it.’ Just live in different homes. That’s great! Knock knock, let’s have dinner, let’s go.”
Claflin said of his own ideas: “Just because I think his life was pretty magnificent, I think [Frank] Sinatra would be an incredible story.
“I don’t think I’m right to play Sinatra, but I would love to see that film. I think his story, his alleged ties to the mafia, I just feel there is so much story to tell, and as a singer, songwriter, entertainer, he was such a force.”
Cuoco further suggested that she could play daughter Nancy Sinatra, as well as Debbie Harry from Blondie.
During the chat, Cuoco revealed that she had been listening to a lot of Sinatra recently when asked if there was an album that she always goes back to, sharing: “In the car, and my daughter is so into it… I think I would say that, I would say old Frank.”
Vanished follows a French vacation that turns into a nightmare when a tourist’s boyfriend disappears on a train, forcing her to uncover his past.
In NME‘s three-star review, we said: “Vanished is unlikely to be your next streaming obsession in the same way The Flight Attendant was but if you’re pining for that similar rush of intrigue and suspense, you’ll easily disappear within this swift, enjoyable series.”
