Jack White has attacked Donald Trump for his military campaign in Iran, mocking the president for being the “leader of the ‘Board of Peace’”.
Earlier today (February 28), the US joined Israel in launching waves of aerial attacks across Iran in a presumed attempt to bring about regime change in the country.
Trump labelled the campaign ‘Operation Epic Fury’ and in a televised address, he said it would end a security threat to the US, while giving Iranians a chance to “rise up” against their current rulers.
Many, including The Guardian, have pointed out that Trump’s actions have “no legal foundation” and have been made with “minimal consultation with Congress or the American public”.
The former White Stripes frontman, a longtime critic of Trump, was quick to take to social media to criticise the actions.
“Don’t you love seeing him declare war on a country while wearing a trucker hat that says “USA” on it?” White wrote. “Behold the leader of the ‘Board of Peace’. For the next war announcement donny, may I suggest having your feet up on the Resolute desk while eating a Big Mac in a velvet track suit?”
White continued: “Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Cuba, what’s the difference right? don jr. and barron won’t have to fight or die, just other people’s children, so…invade and bomb away! New sign ups for the “board of peace” starting at one billion dollars! Can you believe donny hasn’t received a real Nobel Peace Prize yet? Unfair! Maybe in his third term he’ll get one.”
Trump established the Board Of Peace in late 2025, with a stated mission to promote stability, peacebuilding and reconstruction in conflict zones, with the President serving as the Lifetime Chairman of the Board.
White has been repeatedly critical of the Trump administration, recently calling for his removal from office after a racist meme was shared on his social media account that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.

“This post would basically get anyone, at any job, fired immediately…except for arguably the most important position in the world,” White wrote at the time.
“That’s right, Trump is a racist, a rapist, a felon, a grifter (currently ordering the U.S. government to pay him $10 billion simply because no one will stop him), and a full-on dementia sufferer, and yet he has the power to send in Gestapo ICE soldiers to k*ll our citizens, and so much more dangerously, he has the nuclear codes and the ability to end humanity at any moment based on an egotistical whim,” he continued.
“Arrest this man,” White urged. “Impeach this man. 25th Amendment this man. Indict this man. Jail this man.
White was also among the many famous faces to criticise Trump over his “vile” comments about Rob Reiner’s death, after the President put forward false claims that Reiner’s murder was brought about by his “obsession” with criticising him.
Trump and White also traded insults last August, with White describing the Oval Office redesign as “vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy”, and the White House hitting back by calling the musician a “has-been loser”.
