God Of War actor Chris Judge has been forced to deny any involvement in the upcoming remakes of the original trilogy after an interaction with a fan went viral.

Judge voiced Kratos in 2018’s God Of War reboot and returned for the 2022 sequel Ragnarok.
Over the weekend, a video of him speaking to streamer Fuzhpuzy went viral after Judge seemingly-confirmed a “new fighting system” would be implemented in the upcoming remakes of the original God Of War trilogy alongside “new technology”. He also confirmed original Kratos voice actor TC Carson would be voicing Kratos in those games. “You’ll be hearing about what we’re doing late summer,” he added, with many fans assuming this meant a brand new God Of War game.
After his comments blew up online, Judge took to Twitter to distance himself from the planned remakes. “Let me be crystal clear, I have zero involvement with the original games and what they involve. Full stop.”
However, he didn’t deny speculation that a new God Of War game would be unveiled later this year. “As much as I would love that everything I do in the future would involve Sony Santa Monica and God Of War, I have other projects that I am super excited about . More info this summer,” he wrote.

Last year it was reported a new God Of War game was in development and would take place in Ancient Egypt.
Earlier this month, Sony confirmed that the first three God Of War games were set to be remade to celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary. “This project is still very early in development, so we ask for your patience as it will be a while before anything else can be shared. When we can come back with an update, we aim to make it a big one,” they added in a blog post.
New side-scrolling prequel Sons Of Sparta was also released as part of the State Of Play presentation but the “generic” game was criticised by original God Of War creator David Jaffe. “I don’t like it. I don’t recommend it. What the fuck were they thinking,” he said in a YouTube review.
In other news, one expert claims that video games are losing the “attention war” to TikTok videos, porn and online betting.
