‘Bad Influence’ by SEVENTEEN was first played at the Louis Vuitton FW 2025 show in Paris on January 21. ‘Bad Influence’ is performed by nine of the boyband’s members: S.Coups, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino.
The song was notably written and produced by Pharrell Williams, who selected the K-pop boyband as its performers, according to a press release by the boyband’s label Pledis Entertainment. Williams also notably serves as the French fashion house’s creative director for menswear.
“We are happy and honoured to collaborate with Pharrell Williams, whom we have deeply admired for a long time,” said SEVENTEEN. The boyband added that they “truly enjoyed the creative process which showcases a new side of ourselves” and hope to “connect with more listeners worldwide through this collaboration”.
Aside from SEVENTEEN, the Louis Vuitton show’s soundtrack also featured Final Fantasy VII song ‘One-Winged Angel’ and two other original tracks produced by Williams: ‘LV Bag’ by BTS’ J-hope and Don Toliver, as well as ‘Timeless’ by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti.
SEVENTEEN sub-unit BSS – comprising Hoshi, DK and Seungkwan – recently made their first comeback in two years with the ‘Teleparty’ single album early this month. Headlined by title track ‘CBZ (Prime Time)’, the record features two other B-sides, ‘Love Song’ and ‘Happy Alone’.
The 11-piece, with the exception of members Jeonghan and Jun, are currently on the ’17 Is Right Here’ world tour, which is currently on its Asian leg. The band most recently wrapped up concerts in Bulacan and Japan, with their next show scheduled for January 25 and 26 in Singapore. SEVENTEEN will then wrap the tour up with two remaining stops in Jakarta and Bangkok next month.
