The music legend posed with youngster Matthew Anthony Pellicano, as well as The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White, who will star as the adult Springsteen in the forthcoming film. Visiting the set of the film in Freehold, New Jersey, Springsteen met the actors playing him, as well as Gaby Hoffman, who plays his mother Adele.

Wearing a large green coat and sunglasses, the musician smiled as he greeted everyone. The visit comes after Springsteen visited white at an earlier stage of filming in November. The production will mainly film in New Jersey, Springsteen’s home town, as well as New York.

Set for release in 2025, Deliver Me From Nowhere chronicles the musician’s journey to recording his sixth album, ‘Nebraska’, in 1982. On the edge of becoming a worldwide phenomenon, the film will show the artist at a much more vulnerable moment in his life.

The film is being directed by Scott Cooper, the filmmaker behind Crazy Heart and Black Mass, and is distributed by Disney’s 20th Century Studios.

It’s been confirmed that White will be performing Springsteen’s music himself. The Venom: The Last Dance actor Stephen Graham has also been cast as Springsteen’s father, Douglas, with whom he has a complicated relationship.

Others involved with the movie have also expressed their delight with the film. Jeremy Strong, who plays Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau, called it “one of the greatest working experiences I’ve ever had”.

The singer himself was quoted as being full of praise for White, saying he “sings very well” and that the film is cast “beautifully”.
