It comes as the band are among the first names lined up for the 2025 instalment of the all-day event, which will be held at Temple Newsam Park on May 24.

Topping the bill, Kele Okereke and co. will take to the stage for a one-off show, marking the 20th anniversary of their debut album. For the milestone, they’ll be playing the tracklist in full, as well as some hits from the rest of their catalogue.

Also on the newly-announced line-up are fellow indie band Yard Act, who will perform at the event for the first time, and Norwegian pop star Sigrid, who is returning to the UK after nearly two and a half years.

Jamie Webster is also on the bill, as is Natasha Bedingfield, The Amazons, Fat Dog, We Are Scientists, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and more.

Tickets for Live At Leeds 2025 go live this Friday (October 25) at 9am. Visit here to buy tickets.

The announcement that Bloc Party will be playing ‘Silent Alarm’ in full comes after the band broke out the full tracklist in a special anniversary show in London this summer. Held at Crystal Palace Park on July 7, the gig marked their biggest headline show to date – performing to a 25,000-strong crowd for two hours.

It also featured support from special guests Friendly Fires, The Mysterines, Connie Constance and The Hives.

“We’ve been having so much fun playing shows over the past year, so it makes sense to do something special for old and new fans, celebrating 20 years of Bloc Party,” explained frontman Okereke, announcing the show last year. “We heard from a lot of people that they couldn’t get tickets for the [2018/2019] ‘Silent Alarm’ gigs, so a one-off summer party playing that and the bangers feels like the right thing to do.”

Before next year’s event kicks off, its sister festival, Live At Leeds In The City, will return next month (November 16) and feature performances from the likes of Everything Everything, Alfie Templeman, The K’s, English Teacher and more.

‘Silent Alarm’ isn’t the only album that is getting aired out in full at Temple Newsam Park next summer. Just days after Bloc Party take to the stage as part of the all-day event, Kaiser Chiefs will be heading to the Leeds site for a huge homecoming show, celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘Employment’.

It’ll mark their biggest show in their hometown to date, and see support from Razorlight, The Cribs and more.

In other Bloc Party news, Okereke recently announced a new solo album ‘The Singing Winds Pt. 3’ and shared the new single ‘It Wasn’t Meant To Be’.

The record – set for release in January – will be the third in a series called ‘The Elements’, a string of solo albums by the Bloc Party frontman that originated in lockdown. Before it was announced, he shared ‘Hometown Edge’ as a lead single.
