Yves Tumor has denied allegations of abuse against him.
Reports of sexual assault began to emerge against the musician – real name Sean Lee Bowie – last week, after images of a bruised woman were posted to the Yves Tumor subreddit.
The photos came alongside the text, which alleged that Bowie had “sexually assaulted someone close to me last week”.
The anonymous poster went on to say: “She has told me he forcefully groped her multiple times, bit her neck, held her down and stepped on her head with his shoe, amongst other things.
“I’ve known him for years, considered him a friend and I never thought I’d ever have to post something like this. It’s been reported to the police, but people should know.”
The post prompted further allegations against the musician, with artist Angel Money taking to X to allege that he had “groped” her on camera.

Another artist, Kidä, who sang on the Yves Tumor song ‘Lovely Sewer’ from his last album ‘Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume‘ and toured as part of his band, also took to X to share her experiences working with him, which she described as: “one of the most disrespectful professional experiences of my career.”
“He berated, mocked, and taunted his bandmates constantly,” she alleged. “Everyone around him was walking on eggshells. He’d crash out on roadies, Uber drivers, hotel receptionists — anyone unlucky enough to be near him.”
Kidä also went on to say that she wasn’t credited for her feature on ‘Lovely Sewer’: ” A feature that could have meaningfully changed the course of my career.”

Yves Tumor has since responded to the allegations, taking to his Instagram story yesterday (August 24) to call them “100 per cent untrue and also completely heartbreaking.” He added, “will be taking extreme legal action.” He deleted the post shortly afterwards.
His fifth studio album, ‘Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds)’, was shared in 2023. In a four-star review, NME wrote: “‘Praise…’ is evidence of how brilliant rock can be when ambition and talent are met with a creative who isn’t afraid to be strange.
“It’s an album that could have easily ventured too out-there for the masses to find it palpable, but thanks Tumor’s outsized talent and personality, ‘Praise…’ avoids decadence and proves richly satisfying.”
