Remi Wolf has announced her third studio album, Mud, due October 9, 2026, via Island Records. The 11-song set follows the release of “Twiggy” and arrives as Wolf prepares to release another new single, “Bottle,” on August 20. The album was developed through sessions in Nashville, Big Bear, New York, and Joshua Tree, with Wolf working closely with longtime collaborator Jared Solomon and a small group of friends and musicians. The project centers on a more collaborative recording process than the constant touring and studio cycle that preceded it.
Early work began in Nashville before the project took clearer shape during a Big Bear retreat with Solomon, Jack DeMeo, Jamie McLaughlin, and Gigi Grombacher. The group wrote together, shared meals, and passed microphones around the kitchen, an informal setup Wolf described as a “family band.” Rather than separating songwriting from daily life, the group developed material as ideas surfaced during the retreat. Wolf said making Mud marked a shift in her life and left her feeling “clean and clear” by the end of the process.
The collaborators later reunited at Electric Lady Studios in New York before finishing the album in Joshua Tree. According to the announcement, the sessions emphasized live instrumentation and recording together in the same room, with Wolf sometimes playing drums herself. Melodies and lyrics were allowed to change during the sessions instead of being fixed in advance.
The announcement follows Wolf’s 2024 album Big Ideas and her 2021 debut Juno. In 2026, Wolf made her on-screen debut in the Amazon Prime Video series Off Campus, which features multiple songs from her catalog and a cameo by Wolf in the premiere episode. Her recent live history includes appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo, as well as tours alongside Paramore, Lorde, and Olivia Rodrigo.
