Josh Turner is set to be the latest guest on the East Iris Immersive Podcast, which brings fans behind the curtain of the music industry in surround sound, direct from the legendary East Iris Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The podcast episode is devoted to the 20th anniversary of Your Man and originally premiered over the weekend after a Volume.com livestream and fan Q&A.
An expanded anniversary edition of Your Man, released via MCA/UMe, is available on 180-gram black vinyl, limited-edition 180-gram turquoise vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. It includes “Hard Headed,” a track originally issued as a 2006 iTunes exclusive that has been made available across streaming services for the first time.
The anniversary vinyl was newly mastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Reeves at East Iris Studios, who also cut the lacquers, and was pressed at United Record Pressing in Nashville. The digital version also adds 2021 live recordings of the certified 5x Platinum title track and the Gold certified “Me and God” from Nashville’s Hermitage Hotel.
Your Man debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Its Chris Stapleton, Chris DuBois, and Jace Everett-penned title track became Turner’s first track to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
“As my sophomore album, Your Man, celebrates its 20th anniversary, I’m moved at how it has continued to gain new fans,” Turner said. “I still play all three singles from that record because you fans won’t let me out of any venue until I do!! Thank y’all for your support and enthusiasm over the past two decades! Let’s keep it going!”
The first episode of the East Iris Immersive Podcast featured Jack Blades, Brad Gillis, and Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger. The podcast has since included the rock band Everclear, record producer Giles Martin, a celebration of Jimmy Buffet featuring Mac McAnally and Peter Mayer, and a Kenny Rogers tribute episode titled “Life is Like a Song” featuring Rogers’ widow Wanda Rogers and his production manager Keith Bugos.
