JYP Entertainment announced that Gunil would depart Xdinary Heroes, following a leaked recording of him making insulting remarks about fans. Gunil explained via a fan messaging platform that he had been struggling with malicious comments and invasions of privacy from sasaengs.

Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung both announced their departure from JYP Entertainment, but will remain in Twice. Jeongyeon will join Varo Entertainment for solo activities, while Chaeyoung will form her own label, Lil Fantasy. Seventeen‘s Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino will enlist in the military this fall. The Boyz‘ Eric signed an exclusive contract with Grid Entertainment. Shinee‘s Key and Onew were questioned by authorities in the case of an unlicensed medical practitioner treated entertainers.Police launched an investigation into allegations that Ador unlawfully disclosed NewJeans member Hanni‘s visa information to media outlets. Jeewon, Haeun, and Semi have terminated their contracts with Oddinary Records and have left Latency.
