The new album comes after Royal Blood took a brief break after the release of their 2023 album, and entered the studio in 2025 with no deadline and no distractions.
According to a press release, the album will see the duo “strips everything back to its core” and present 10 songs that show the at their “most powerful”.
“After putting the Royal Blood engine in neutral for a couple of years, we’ve been building up the revs and are playing faster and harder than ever with this album,” the duo shared.
“Written and recorded with the stage in mind, we cannot wait to play it live for years to come.”
The first song to be released from the album is ‘Ten Over Ten’, which you can check out above.
Hints of new material were dropped by the band in June, and that period also saw them announce three intimate comeback shows in Margate, Southampton and Guildford for later this month. Find any remaining tickets here.
Back in 2024, the Royal Blood celebrated the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, telling NME at the time that “it’s still a record that we live and breathe.”
Their latest album ‘Back To The Water Below’ was given a four star review by NME, which said that it “feels like a return for Royal Blood”.
