The ongoing mystery surrounding Sid Wilson’s status in Slipknot has been made murkier after he introduced himself as a current member of the band.

During a recent appearance at the inaugural World Scratch Invitational this week, Wilson was introduced as a co-host for the event, and upon taking the mic, introduced himself as “No. 0, from the world famous Slipknot”, per Loudwire.

It comes after a TMZ report in late July claimed that Wilson, the band’s longtime DJ and keyboardist, had been permanently kicked out of the band – although no official word has come from Slipknot as yet.

Likewise, there’s been no word on what led to the alleged split, but the band’s guitarist, Jim Root, took to social media after news broke to urge fans to wait for more information. In a message shared to his Instagram Story, he said: “Don’t believe everything you read. Stop. Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile.

“Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there’s more information.” The post, which didn’t mention Wilson by name, was soundtracked by Slipknot’s ‘Til We Die’.

Meanwhile, Kelly Osbourne recently hit out at her ex-fiancé Wilson, posting and later deleting a series of messages on Instagram seemingly calling out the musician – without naming him – demanding child support for their three-year-old son and opening up about the difficulties of co-parenting.

“Wake the fuck up take some responsibility I will not take your shit anymore! I’m done,” she wrote. “I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise. Leave me alone. Let me heal. I can’t protect you from yourself anymore. Also while I’m at it can I have my dogs back and all my possessions. Oh yeah and maybe some child support?”

The couple started dating in 2022 and welcomed their son Sidney later that year, before they got engaged in July 2025 backstage at Black Sabbath‘s final show ever at the massive Back To The Beginning concert in Birmingham.

They reportedly called off the engagement seven months later in March 2026, according to People. Amidst all the ongoing speculation, neither Wilson nor the band has commented on reports of his alleged removal from the band.
