The sibling duo consisting of Will Gao and Olivia Hardy are set to drop their debut album ‘Nocturne’ on September 18 via AWAL (pre-order/pre-save here).

So far, they’ve shared the singles ‘2515, ‘Bleeding Gold’ and ‘Whale Call’ – and now, Wasia Project have released their dance-floor ready anthem ‘Vogue’.

“‘Vogue’ is an ethereal, club inspired song, about surrendering to desire rather than resisting it,” the duo said of the song. “It’s euphoric, sensual and immersive, exploring the anticipation of where a night might lead, the electricity of connection and the feeling of being completely consumed by someone. There’s a sense of obsession running through it, where every room, moment and glance seems charged with possibility.

“It’s about embracing the exhilaration and inevitability of giving yourself over to a feeling that is all-consuming.”

Take a listen to ‘Vogue’ down below:

The band will soon kick off their tour of ‘Nocturne’, which commences in November this year.

Starting in Glasgow on the 4th, the group will travel through Manchester (6), Leeds (7), Birmingham (8) and Bristol (10), before playing a huge show at London’s Roundhouse on the 11th.

From there, they’ll travel into Europe to play shows in Paris (20), Brussels (22), and Amsterdam (23), before rounding off with a final show at Berlin’s Astra Kulturhaus (25).

Elsewhere, we spoke to Wasia Project for our Cover back in 2023.

The pair spoke to us about their desire to experiment beyond the jazz-pop labels thrust upon them, with Hardy telling us: “Reinventing ourselves and doing what we want and feel like, that’s what drives us. We’re so excited about the limitless possibilities of what we can create, especially together, and so excited about where our sound is gonna go next.”
