Naisha has released her debut EP 911 through Interscope Records/Desi Trill, alongside a video for “CONTRABAND.” The project was executive produced by Naisha with Skrillex and Dilip Venkatesh and includes collaborations with BEAM and Ty Dolla $ign. Across the EP, Naisha moves between English, Hindi and Caribbean patois, reflecting both her Indian background and Trinidadian heritage on her mother’s side. The release marks her first full project after a series of features and collaborations.
“CONTRABAND” was filmed in Mumbai and developed with creative direction from Naisha. Ruby and Colin Tilley directed the video, which follows Naisha through city streets, crowds and choreographed dance sequences. The video extends the visual approach she developed for 911, which she describes as integral to the record. “Visual storytelling is such a big part of how I express myself,” Naisha said. “It’s my way of translating who I am and the beautiful chaos I exist in. The same chaos lives in my music too.” The clip places Naisha at the center of its movement through Mumbai as the titular contraband.
In a statement on the EP, Naisha said earlier collaborative releases had offered only a partial view of her work. “With 911, I finally get to share a project that feels completely mine,” she said. “My melodies, my influences, my perspective start to finish.” She also described the EP as “emotional, chaotic, playful, honest and completely my world.” Naisha said she is now at a stage where she can make things “imperfectly perfect” and trust herself enough to release them.
In June 2026, Naisha appeared with Skrillex on “Cheeni” and with Skrillex and BEAM on “Diwali,” both included on Skrillex’s SOMA. Her 2025 work with Skrillex included “GULAB XX,” which appeared on his April 2025 album F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3. In March 2025, Naisha joined Skrillex onstage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami for “Talk To Me.” The song was first released in November 2024 as a collaboration between Naisha, Champion, Four Tet and Skrillex.
