Minions & Monsters is in cinemas now, but what songs appear on the soundtrack? Find out below.
The latest instalment in Illumination’s Despicable Me franchise is directed by Pierre Coffin, who also returns to voice the Minions.
Set in 1920s Hollywood, the film follows the yellow creatures as they attempt to make their own monster movie, before chaos erupts and they are forced to save the world from the mayhem they have unleashed.
The voice cast also includes Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Zoey Deutch, Bobby Moynihan, Phil LaMarr and Trey Parker.
Check out the trailer below.
The film is the seventh instalment in the wider Despicable Me franchise, following 2022’s Minions: The Rise Of Gru and 2024’s Despicable Me 4.
It went viral this week after viewers became convinced that one Minion had namechecked Bonnie Blue in a promotional clip for the film.
Director Pierre Coffin later clarified that the line was not intended as a reference to the controversial British adult content creator, explaining that the sound had instead come from part of the name of one of the film’s animators, Omid Rajabalipour.
Every song on the Minions & Monsters soundtrack
Minions & Monsters includes an original score from John Powell, known for his work on How To Train Your Dragon, Shrek, Happy Feet, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Bourne Identity, Wicked and Migration.
It marks the first film in the Despicable Me franchise not to be scored by Heitor Pereira, who composed the music for the previous Minions films.
Unlike Minions: The Rise Of Gru, which came with a guest-heavy soundtrack album featuring artists including Diana Ross, Tame Impala, St. Vincent, Phoebe Bridgers and Brockhampton, the official Minions & Monsters soundtrack is built around Powell’s orchestral score.
