July 1, 2026, WEST.’s first-ever solo project kicks off! To celebrate his 33rd birthday, member Tomohiro Kamiyama embarks on a new adventure in pursuit of even greater creative possibilities on behalf of his love for music and his group.
The (re)debut welcomes listeners into the “Kamiyama World,” showcasing every facet of his artistry: singing, writing, rap, and dance. Titled “G.O.D.” (a reference to his surname, whose kanji means “mountain of the gods”), Kamiyama wrote the lyrics and composed the music himself before co-creating the music video choreography with Kaita of the dance crew RHT.
The aggressive track features next-level rhymes that explode over a racing beat, driven by a relentless progression designed to shake the soul. Built around the theme of breaking through limits, the song captures Kamiyama’s determination to push himself to new heights while bringing the brilliance he has cultivated as an individual back to WEST.
Created with his whole being, “G.O.D.” serves as a powerful first digital single from a member of one of Japan’s most celebrated idol groups.

In today’s world, the possibilities for artistic expression are expanding. Creating and sharing my work while also discovering new experiences through entertainment gives me strength and confidence. I launched this project in the hope that it would serve as a way to give back to all the fans who support me every day.
I live to express myself. Singing, dancing, composing, and performing are all deeply important to me because they allow me to share my true, unfiltered self in the most honest way possible. As long as I live, I want to continue challenging myself and exploring new creative opportunities whenever I can.
I would be so happy if this solo project could serve as a gateway for those who haven’t yet experienced the music of WEST. yet. The group is both my home and my mothership, and I want to repay my fellow members and all our fans for everything they do and are for us.
Starring as one of the seven members of the boy band WEST. from STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, Tomohiro Kamiyama debuted with the rest of the group in 2014 with ELOV-Label. In addition to numerous starring stage, screen, and theatre credits, he has been a longtime music & lyrics contributor to his group’s catalog and looks forward to expanding his audience even further through this new solo project.
