They’re set to mark the 15th anniversary of their era-defining debut ‘Tourist History’ with a five-date arena run early next year, when they’ll play a series of career-spanning sets. “It’s been over seven years since we’ve done a UK and Ireland tour,” the indie stalwarts said of next year’s tour.

“Each and every one of these cities holds a special place in our hearts, we’ve played almost every venue there is to play in each of them, now it’s time for the big ones. We can’t wait.”

Kicking off at Dublin’s 3Arena on January 23, they’ll head to Belfast’s SSE Arena, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro and Manchester’s AO Arena, before concluding with a final date at London’s O2 on January 28.

The tour will feature a series of special guests, with The Royston Club joining the band on the Ireland dates in Dublin and Belfast, while Circa Waves and Arkayla will appear in Glasgow, Manchester and London.

Fan presales will begin this Wednesday (July 1) at 9am BST, with a general sale starting on Friday (July 3). You can check out a full list of dates below, and find your tickets here.

Two Door Cinema Club’s UK and Ireland 2027 tour dates are:

January:
23 – 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland
24 – SSE Arena, Belfast, N Ireland
26 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland
27 – AO Arena, Manchester, UK
28 – The O2, London, UK

Other 15th anniversary gigs the band have lined up included concerts at Cardiff Castle and New York’s Madison Square Garden later this year. They will also be playing major shows in Dublin and Cork this summer, as well as a range of festival appearances, including Isle Of Wight FestivalKendall CallingTruck FestivalY Not Festival and TRNSMT.

The album reached Number One on the Irish chart and landed a spot on the BBC’s coveted ‘Sound Of’ poll in 2010. NME gave ‘Tourist History’ a 7/10 review, writing: “Two Door’s stuttering yet spiky songs are tighter than a snake’s bumhole in a sandstorm.

“[…] Listening to the likes of the thrillingly optimistic ‘What You Know’ and ‘I Can Talk’ makes you feel like you could wrestle former WWE slaphead ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and win.”

Speaking to NME back in 2024, bassist Kevin Baird explained: “When we first formed, we were looking up to bands like Bloc Party and Foals but by the time we released ‘Tourist History’, it didn’t really feel like we were part of a scene.

“It gave us a bit of a chip on our shoulder and we felt like outsiders, but we just focused on doing our own thing. We also knew that we couldn’t recapture the magic of breakout songs like ‘Undercover Martyn’ and ‘What You Know’, so we’ve always chased doing something new. I hope people don’t just see us as that band from 2010.”

He added: “When we wrote ‘Tourist History’, we didn’t really know what we were supposed to be doing and no one was ever meant to hear it beyond our friends and whoever turned up at our gigs at Belfast pubs. Once you have some success though and a wider audience is listening, that’s when the pressure comes in.”

Two Door Cinema Club have released five LPs in total, their latest being 2022’s ‘Keep On Smiling’. They have since shared the singles ‘Sure Enough’ (2023) and ‘Happy Customers’ (2024).
