OMEGA X Returns with 4th Mini Album “UNCAPPED”

OMEGA X is finally back after a 2 and half year break with their fourth mini album “UNCAPPED” on June 19.

With this new release, OMEGA X boldly lifts the lid on emotions they had previously kept under wraps, loudly proclaiming a moment of absolute freedom and liberation. The album reflects their unwavering courage and profound message: to leave behind the times of suppression, let go of everything, and start anew.

Through this album, OMEGA X demonstrates that returning to “Zero” is not an end, but rather the beginning of new, infinite possibilities. Each track is infused with a vibrant, fun message encouraging listeners to fully experience and enjoy the present moment, while the group showcases their signature explosive energy—breaking free from conventions and charging boldly forward without hesitation.

Furthermore, the fourth mini-album “UNCAPPED” holds special significance as a project completed in harmony between OMEGA X and their fans; the group actively incorporated valuable fan input into every stage of planning, from selecting the title track to determining the lineups for unit songs.

In line with this collaborative spirit, the members of OMEGA X actively participated in the production process by contributing various ideas. Notably, Jaehan, XEN, and Yechan—who have consistently demonstrated their unique musical identities—contributed significantly to the group’s musical growth by participating in the lyrics, composition, and arrangement of multiple tracks on the album. OMEGA X, a group that consistently expands its musical capabilities and spectrum with every release, has once again elevated the quality of this new album by infusing it with the members’ sincere efforts and multifaceted talents.

The opening track, ‘Day Zero,’ captures the excitement of the moment when everything resets to zero. It blends OMEGA X’s signature vibrant energy with the upbeat basslines characteristic of the UK Garage genre, a style that has recently become a global trend.

The title track, ‘UNCAPPED’—which shares its name with the album—embodies the album’s identity by depicting the liberating moment when long-suppressed emotions finally burst forth. A fusion of rhythmic Afrobeat grooves and explosive EDM sounds creates an intense, passionate atmosphere that captures the feeling of breaking through limits.

The third track, ‘Close to me, is a unit song featuring members Jaehan, XEN, and Yechan. The members were deeply involved in the songwriting, composition, and arrangement, adding a layer of authenticity to the track, which conveys a mature message about embracing and respecting each other’s differences.

The fourth track, ‘Cork,’ is a unit song featuring members Hwichan, Sebin, Jaehyun, and KEVIN, showcasing their lively and refreshing charm. Driven by high-energy beats and synth sounds, the track sensuously portrays the moment a self—matured through a long period of patience, much like fine wine—pours out into the world.

Closing out the album is ‘Life Detox,’ an alternative pop track built upon a sophisticated electric guitar sound. They convey the freedom found in an attitude of letting go and moving with the flow—offering the paradoxical comfort that there is no such thing as a perfect detox amidst the repetition of daily life.

With “UNCAPPED,” OMEGA X—poised to showcase strengthened storytelling and remarkable musical growth—aims to once again imprint their unique identity on the public, one that refuses to be bound by limits or conventional molds. Their sincere journey toward true freedom and liberation—breaking down the walls they had built around their own hearts—is expected to resonate deeply with listeners, offering a profound sense of empathy and release.
