Platinum singer-songwriter Paris Alexa (TT) is emerging from her hit songwriting capsule (for the likes of Anitta, aespa, IVE, Rochelle Jordan, Normani, Bri Babineux, and more) with her first solo release in four years,“Wrong Generation”, in response to the current era of toxicity and lost connection. Confidentially, the single leads up to her fan-demanded EP coming later this year.
“Wrong Generation” is a sharp social commentary on a generation struggling to balance hyperconnectivity with vulnerability and intimacy. The lyrics advocate for what genuine connection once was:
“Y’all too damn toxic. I’m way too naïve. I’m walking around with my heart on my sleeve. Can we bring back emotion, and beg for your b*tch back. Say chivalry’s dead but I’ma need mine to kiss that.”
Paris’ prolific pen game has taken her success international with fan favorites such as “PARTY b4 the PARTY” – Saint Satine’s first-ever single as the newly formed worldwide pop girl group set from HYBE x Geffen Records – as well as IVE’s title track for their new EP “Lucid Dream” and the platinum K-pop hit “Supernova” by aespa which won K-Pop Song of the Year at the 2024 MAMA Awards.
Recently, Paris signed an APAC territory publishing deal with K-pop mogul Lee Soo-man’s CTGA to continue delivering hits for Asia-based pop stars.
