The new Hitman: World Of Assasination vinyl features 44 songs from across the recent Hitman series, including 2016’s rebooted Hitman, its 2018 sequel and 2021’s Hitman 3. The album also includes select tracks from Hitman: World Of Assassination’s sniper and freelancer modes.

Game developers IO Interactive have created a bespoke sleeve design “themed around the centres of power in the World Of Assassination,” for the 4LP boxset.

“As Agent 47 makes his way across the globe—from Paris to the Carpathian Mountains—so Niels Bye Nielsen’s music follows,” reads the product page. “It ranges from EDM and German techno to Argentinian tango; from solo piano sonatas to South American guitar; and freely blends orchestral, rock, and synth elements. Specially mastered for vinyl by Joe Caithness, this collection captures the cinematic tension and atmosphere at the heart of Hitman: World of Assassination.”

The 4LP Hitman: World Of Assasination soundtrack vinyl is set to be released in January 2027 but the boxset is available to pre-order now. The complete 63-song Hitman: World Of Assassination soundtrack is also available to stream.

The Hitman franchise is currently “on hiatus” as developers IO Interactive focus on 007 First Light. In 2023, IO boss said the game studio would “obviously” come back and make more Hitman games. “He’s still very much in the heart of this company.”

Their new James Bond game launched last week and has already racked up more than 2million sales.  However yesterday (June 4) Amazon, who owns the rights to Bond, confirmed more 007 games would follow but IO Interactive might not be making them. “If IO isn’t making the next one, what’s the fucking point in making another one,” wrote one unhappy X user.

In other news, Netflix’s Devil May Cry adaptation will end with its third and final season, creator Adi Shankar has confirmed.
