Powerhouse group aespa has released their highly-anticipated second studio album, LEMONADE. Listen HERE via SM Entertainment. Watch the official music video for the title track HERE.
Spanning 10 tracks, LEMONADE captures aespa’s high-octane, futuristic sound and penchant for irresistible anthems – and levels it up with their most refined and boldest production to date.
The title track ‘LEMONADE’ is a pulsating electronic dance track that recalls the infectious energy of aespa’s signature hits ‘Supernova’ and ‘Whiplash’. Global Latin pop sensation Becky G adds extra spice to the searing summer banger for the bonus reimagined version of ‘LEMONADE’, available on the digital edition of the album. Inspired by the phrase, ‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade’, the song delivers an empowering message about turning pressure and challenges into opportunities, reimagining the bright refreshing image of lemonade through aespa’s distinct sonic and visual lens.
Across the project; aespa flaunts their expanded sonic palette across an array of high-energy electronic dance, hyperpop, pop-rock and R&B tracks; each capturing glimmers of KARINA, WINTER, GISELLE and NINGNING’s performance and vocal prowess.
Highlights include the explosive single ‘WDA (Whole Different Animal)’ featuring K-pop legend G-DRAGON, which kicked off a defiant new chapter in aespa’s expanding lore earlier this month. Elsewhere, the fast and furious ‘Switchblade’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign hears aespa injecting strength into a sleek electronic-dance track while ‘SHAKIN’’ oozes with ice-cool confidence and sensuality over a rhythmic dance beat.
Amidst the edge and outward-facing main character energy, the album surges with an emotional undercurrent. Messages of resilience and authenticity vibrate through the bluesy rock-tinged ‘Can’t Help Myself’ and while the hyperpop track ‘Camouflage’ hears them adopting different personas as an act of self-preservation. They wear their hearts on their sleeves on the album closer, ‘Til We Die’ – a soaring pop-rock dedication to their supporters, vowing to stand by them until the very end.
To celebrate the release, aespa will also launch aespa WEEK – MAKE IT LEMONADE pop-up experiences worldwide, including events in Los Angeles and New York City from 29 to 31 May, alongside additional activations across major cities in Asia including Bangkok, Seoul, Shenzhen, Tokyo, Taipei, and more cities worldwide.
The release marks aespa’s first full-length album in two years, following the success of “Armageddon”, which topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 25 regions worldwide. Since then, the group has continued to expand its global presence, earning “Group of the Year” at Billboard Women in Music 2025. This August, aespa will perform at Lollapalooza, before embarking on their new world tour, 2026-27 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : COMPLæXITY, bringing their acclaimed live production to arenas across Asia, North America, Latin America, the UK, and Europe.
