Raunchy comedy series Rivals is back for a second season, but which songs feature this time around? Find out below.
The show is based on the Rutshire Chronicles series of ‘bonkbuster’ novels by the late Jilly Cooper, which follow the schemes and affairs of an upper class social circle in the 1980s.
Season one of the show premiered on Disney+ in October 2024 and proved to be a success, and now it is back for a second run. There will be 12 episodes in this season, with the first three having dropped on May 15. The next three arrive on a weekly basis, while the second half of season two will drop later in the year.
It stars David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Alex Hassell, Katherine Parkinson, Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, while the new episodes have been written by Dominic Treadwell-Collins, Laura Wade and Sophie Goodhart.

One other familiar face will be popping up in this second season, after it emerged earlier this year that Chris De Burgh would be performing his trademark song ‘Lady In Red’ during a wedding scene on the show. The UK Number One single is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

The show features original compositions from BAFTA and Ivor Novello-nominated musician and producer Jack Halama, known for his contributions to Who Is Erin Carter? and Marvel’s Loki.
