A beautiful Saturday at Knock Music House, in northeast Atlanta, hosts the WAY BETTER ‘Global Warming’ tour featuring solo artists FROM20, HELLO GLOOM, and KANG YUCHAN. While this isn’t their first time in North America, this serves as their first tour featuring these special collaboration stages and with WAY BETTER representing more artists.
Being such a supportive group of artists, it is no surprise that the team invited RAMIRO BRAVE to open the Atlanta tour stop. Ramiro, a pop and R&B artist from Texas, makes a U-turn back to Atlanta after having just performed with his artist trio, J.T.R, at the recent International Night Market in Suwanee, GA. Ramiro’s February EP ‘0417’ shares themes of healing and as his spirit, connection, and passion comes alive on stage it is clear that music and movement are journeys that can lead to confidence and joy. He reassures fans with love throughout the night and leaves the stage with warm hearts radiating the energy back to him.
The headliners of the night open with a company collaboration song, ‘119,’ and a group version of from20’s ‘Weol.’ Other fan-favorites set the crowd alight with the hype of what to expect for the evening. They make it clear that the buzz of energy electrifies their performances and they want to give the same thrilling emotions back to their fans.
From20 kicks off the solo performances with his 2023 single ‘Beat It.’ He later showcases a song from his upcoming album, Rated R, to be released in June. If there is one thing fans will leave a Way Better show with, it’s unforgettable memories, like being volunteered to take off the artist’s shirt mid-set.
Kang Yuchan celebrates his solo stage with his solo debut ‘Champagne Poppin.’ The colorful lights flash as the background Pop/House mix of ‘Call of the Wild’ picks up and he perfectly executes some choreography before jumping around with fans. And he couldn’t hand the stage off without highlighting angelic vocals in ‘Close To You.’
Closing out the solo sets, Hello Gloom kicks off his individual moment with ‘TV Star’ and a tidal wave of bottled spring water covering the fans. ‘Somebody’ really lets Hello Gloom let loose on the stage as he projects his lyrics and ad-libs into the mic; and the transition into ‘Dancing in the Dark’ lets his passion come to the front of his facial expressions as the intimacy of the show spikes. Bringing out the other artists always comes along with a roar from the crowd and they continue with group sets that keep the energy high.
One of the most impactful parts of this tour is seeing how each artist is cherished and how their music speaks to the joy of the soul. While some songs are mature fun like ‘Eye Candy’ and others carry messages of nostalgia like Yuchan’s ‘Close to You,’ they all bring about the same level of energy thrumming through the crowd in dance moves and sing-a-longs. The show comes to an end sooner than anyone would want, but shutting the night down with ‘Blue’ and an encore of ‘Mamacita, ‘Chemical,’ and ‘119’ ensured that fans left on a high note.
Fans everywhere are grateful to the Red Crown Events and ANKR Entertainment teams that helped bring WAY BETTER artists on tour. Check out more photos from the Atlanta tour stop in our gallery below.
