Crystal Kay Unveils Single “Only One” feat. yoonmirae

Crystal Kay has released her single “Only One” featuring South Korean legendary artist yoonmirae

Since debuting at just 13 with her single Eternal Memories, the Yokohama-born singer has spent over two decades building a discography  blending R&B, pop, and soul across more than 13 albums and collaborations with everyone from Lionel Richie to BoA and Namie Amuro.

Her latest single “Only One” is a trilingual single that flows seamlessly between Japanese, Korean, and English. Backed by a dance-forward production with unmistakable alternative R&B undertones, the track is as kinetic as it is precise.

The track’s most electric element is its featured artist: yoonmirae, also known as TASHA, a genuine pioneer of Korean female R&B and hip-hop. Debuting at 16 as the lead vocalist of hip-hop unit UPTOWN, yoonmirae went on to release her breakthrough solo album As Time Goes By in 2001. Her own cross-cultural credentials are well-established — she has previously collaborated with Japanese hip-hop and R&B artists including DJ HASEBE and DOUBLE.

The pairing of Crystal Kay and yoonmirae feels like a genuine meeting of kindred spirits: two artists who have each spent careers navigating multiple musical worlds, refusing to be neatly boxed in by geography or genre.

The visual companion to “Only One” was filmed in Seoul with Yoonmirae’s full participation, anchoring the track’s theme in something tangible and geographic. The director’s chair was filled by ZANYBROS, one of the most influential music video production companies in the K-pop industry. For a song about connection across cultures, having the video shot on location in Seoul — rather than a neutral or stylized space — gives “Only One” the personability it deserves.
