DMA’s have announced their new self-titled album and shared the “feral energy” of single ‘Heatin’ Park’.

The Aussie rockers are set to release their new album on August 7 via
Wonderlick Entertainment/Sony Music Australia/RCA UK (preorder/presave here). So far, they’ve shared the nostalgic lead single ‘My Baby’s Place‘ – their first entirely self-produced and recorded song.
Now, they’ve followed it up with the thoroughly “feral” ‘Heatin’ Park’ – a nod to Manchester’s iconic Heaton Park, accompanied by a rollicking Britpop arrangement.
Speaking about the track, lead guitarist Matt Mason said: “‘Heatin Park’ started as
an old forgotten demo banged into a new sound for us and that collision is what gives it its feral energy. The album is called DMA’S because that’s exactly what it is and we’re keen to bring it home and play for you all.”

When DMA’s released ‘My Baby’s Place’, they said of the song: “‘My Baby’s Place’ began with the verses, written around a back and forth between gratitude and destitution. I finished the choruses last year, at a time when a few chapters were closing, and it all clicked, so it felt right to record it ourselves in our studio in Glebe, Sydney”.
DMA’s are currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Hills End‘ – and to commemorate the occasion, they’re continuing their tour in the UK in May. See the remaining dates below and find any remaining tickets here.

We reviewed their most recent album, ‘How Many Dreams?’, which was released in March 2023. In a three-star review, we wrote: “‘How Many Dreams?’ is ambitious and catchy enough to satiate old fans and realign the narrative for those who may have written DMA’s off. But it’s hard to not leave feeling that this was their moment, and they’ve only grabbed it with one hand.”
