TAEYONG Releases ‘ROCK SOLID’ Feat. ANDERSON .PAAK Ahead of Full Album

NCT
’s TAEYONG, one of K-pop’s most dynamic superstars, is back in the spotlight with his punchy new single ‘Rock Solid’ feat. Anderson .Paak

‘Rock Solid’ delivers a bold, high-energy hip-hop sound driven by punchy drum patterns and an addictive, chant-led hook. TAEYONG’s distinctive vocal tone and commanding, hard-hitting rap flow infuses the track with intensity, channeling a message of conviction, resilience and self assurance. Fittingly for his first release in over two years; the statement track captures his determination to stay true to everything he has built so far, as well as his unwavering confidence in continuing to prove himself. GRAMMY-winning artist Anderson .Paak brings his signature groove and dynamic flow to the record, adding a genre-blurring edge that pushes beyond traditional hip-hop conventions.

TAEYONG said about the collaboration:

“I’ve wanted to work with Anderson for a long time, and this track felt like the perfect way to bring our styles together. Shooting the music video was also so much fun – he’s someone who’s always pushing creative boundaries, and that energy really inspired me to do the same.”
TAEYONG has steadily carved out a distinct artistic identity as a soloist – his debut mini album “SHALALA”, released in 2023, marked a strong commercial and creative breakthrough while 2024’s “TAP” showcased his range and hands-on approach, with TAEYONG writing lyrics and contributing to the composition across the project. Both projects earned four stars from NME, stating, “With ‘SHALALA’, TAEYONG sets an indelible standard for future K-pop soloists”.

With ‘Rock Solid’, he continues to take lead in shaping his sound, reinforcing his status as a true multi-faceted artist. The single arrives ahead of TAEYONG’s highly anticipated first full-length album – out in May, and a year of activities celebrating NCT’s 10th anniversary.
