In the release, Zimmer was quoted as saying: “The Hans Zimmer Live tour has been one of the most exciting experiences of my career, and I’m thrilled to bring it to an audience in cinemas globally with Diamond in the Desert.
“Seeing these compositions transform from their big-screen origins to the live show then back to the big screen is a delightful full-circle moment. I hope audiences enjoy this peek behind the curtain as much as we enjoyed making it”.
Winner of two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and four Grammys, Zimmer is considered one of the great film composers. His music from the movies Dune, Gladiator, Interstellar, and The Lion King will be part of the film, which promises “a rare glimpse into Zimmer’s creative process”.
Recently, Zimmer was revealed to be working on a reimagined version of the Saudi Arabian national anthem, as one of several collaborations with the country.
