If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will. Have a team, Don’t think you can handle everything on your own because it will get tough. Morals and integrity are more valuable than the value of a dollar.
What would you do differently if you were starting in your industry now?
I’d come into the industry with my brothers, and the “Creative Label”. Row East is an entertainment company based out of PG County, Maryland that produces short films, music, streaming content and fashion on all platforms.
Which people or books have had the most influence on your growth and why?
Three people who influence me the most is Fame Reek, Lil Wayne and 2pac. Fame Reek because he was the person our age to start rapping and create an independent brand with “No Stallin” in our city, which made an everlasting mark. Lil Wayne “Tha Carter” was the first explicit rap CD i was gifted at the age of 8 and I would like to follow the blueprint of staying original and helping people that come behind me to create their legacy as well. 2pac because of his no fear to speak the truth, to make a change the easy or hard way.
What has been your biggest success story? Why do you think it was a success?
I’d like to say my biggest success story has yet to come. When you’re in the game, you’re taught to not look up at the scoreboard until the clock says 0:00. I’m like a plant – I’m steady growing.
What keeps you going when things get tough in the music industry?
When things get tough, I lean on God and my family. As far as creating purpose, of course, you use negative energy as motivation. Everybody’s competitive whether you play sports, Business, or Rap, you just have to overcome your battle.
What made you pursue being an Artist full-time?
I believe in myself and my team – I would bet the house on them. I’m very passionate about my work, my legacy. I have tunnel vision on my destiny, therefore why halfway do it? If you’re all in on your dream, you have to treat it like a full time job.
Would you sign to a label?
Row East is the label and we’re looking for partnership and distribution.
What projects are you working on for the rest of 2024?
“WOLF LOVE” will be released this summer (romantic comedy), followed by “BB5” (a spinoff of Chris Rock’s “CB4”). Be on the lookout for the return of DaMo’ Montana, the hottest artist out of DC! We have streamers as well on Youtube that produce content every week such as “M1SFITTED”. With the help of “the creative label” the plan is to control all genres of entertainment from Youtube to pay-per-view buys/merch on the official Row East website.
