How Idols Collaborate To Film Challenges At Music Shows According To Super Junior’s Leeteuk

Dance challenges are all the rage amongst idols now, thanks to the rise in popularity of short-form media. With how prevalent the trend is, we can only imagine how crowded the backstage area at music shows must be!

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk gave fans a peek into the world of an idol by explaining how challenges are usually filmed at Music Bank.

Rest time is rare nowadays. While idol groups spent waiting periods eating or sleeping during previous generations, Leeteuk shared that everyone is busy filming challenges these days.

In Music Bank‘s case, they have a special “challenge zone” in front of the staircase. This is where all idols film their dance challenges. Here are the steps to filming a collaboration challenge with another idol group.

Firstly, one has to have their own speaker prepared for the challenge.

Next, you can only use a handphone for the challenge filming. Anyone using professional cameras or anything else will be immediately cut. Most entertainment companies provide staff with a phone specifically for this use.

Last but not least, due to the large number of idol teams waiting to film, a ticket number must be taken. This is provided by the music show staff themselves. Idols will take a number from a machine, and wait their turn to film the challenge at the designated challenge zone.

If you thought that filming challenges were spontaneous and fun, think again!
