Hawk-Eyed Netizens Catch Similarities In ILLIT’s Choreography To NewJeans And LE SSERAFIM

ILLIT, HYBE‘s new girl group, officially made their debut on March 25, 2024.

The girls displayed flawless visuals as they performed various songs at their debut showcase from their mini album Super Real Me.

The group impressed with their unique and fun choreography. However, some of the moves were interpreted by netizens as references to moves from other HYBE girl groups.

In the song “My World,” the song opens with Yunah in the center with the members standing behind her and stretching out their hands in each direction to create a flower effect.

Netizens have noted the same move appears in LE SSERAFIM‘s “Fearless” with Yunjin at the center.

Next, Moka does a hero step dance move in their debut single “Magnetic.”

This reminded netizens of Chaewon who does the same move in “Easy.”

However, there are also dance moves inspired by NewJeans that netizens have been able to catch.

Fans have also spotted another move that overlaps slightly with the choreography for “Ditto.”

While some believe the similarities can be considered nods to the other groups, some believe it’s just noise marketing to build hype and discussion surrounding their debut and showcase. Either way, their exciting debut has everyone excited for the future of ILLIT!
