5. SISTAR
SISTAR debuted in 2010 and rose to become one of the most popular second-generation girl groups, despite being signed to a smaller agency, Starship Entertainment. Unfortunately, SISTAR fell victim to the “seven-year curse” and disbanded in 2017. With 4% of the vote (147 votes), SISTAR takes the fifth spot on this list.

4. CLC
CLC, a girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2015, dropped a number of hit songs during their career, including “Hobgoblin” and “No.” After more than a year of inactivity, CLC disbanded in 2022. CLC earned 5% of the vote (205 votes).

3. IZ*ONE
IZ*ONE was a popular girl group formed through the Mnet survival show Produce 48. Their debut EP, Color*Iz, became an instant best-seller, and the group went on to experience commercial success with subsequent releases. Although fans hoped IZ*ONE’s contract would be extended, the group officially disbanded in 2021. IZ*ONE received 13% of the vote (547 votes).

Fans were devastated when this beloved Source Music girl group announced their disbandment in 2021. With 16% of the vote (652 votes), GFRIEND takes the #2 spot.

2NE1, one of the most renowned K-Pop girl groups of all time, succumbed to the seven-year curse in 2016. During their career, 2NE1 released songs that fans still love today, such as “I Am the Best” and “Lonely.” They also smashed expectations of what a girl group should be by experimenting with their music, fashion, and more. With 47% of the vote (1,960 votes), 2NE1 takes the #1 spot. It’s been years, but fans are still waiting for this group to “Come Back Home.”
