It seems like BLACKPINK truly were the guests of honor as they received a prestigious title.

On November 22, the Royal Family social media account revealed that the members of BLACKPINK were being awarded an honorary MBE in recognition of their role as Advocates for the COP26 Summit in Glasgow. An MBE is given to people for their rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organizations and public service outside the civil service.

The King, joined by The President and First Lady of the Republic of Korea, has welcomed @BLACKPINK to Buckingham Palace, as they are awarded Honorary MBEs.

The video showed the lapel medal that those who receive MBEs get which is deemed extremely prestigious.

BLACKPINK then made their entrance, and like the night before, each member shined in their outfits. Whether it was Rosé‘s pantsuit, Lisa and Jennie‘s dress, or Jisoo‘s two-piece outfit, they all looked beautiful.

King Charles III then presented the members with their MBE, shook their hands, and said a few words to each of them.

After the tweet was shared, social media was full of warm messages of congratulations for the members who have made history as the first K-Pop idols to receive the prestigious title. They are also the first non-British musicians to have been awarded the title by the royal family, joining The Beatles and Adele.
