Norah Jones and Laufey have collaborated on a cozy pair of new holiday songs with their two-track single Christmas With You out this Friday, November 10.
Two artists who seamlessly blend jazz and pop sensibilities, Norah and Laufey combine their distinctive sounds on two vocal duets—a delightful version of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and their playful new co-written original “Better Than Snow.”
The songs were recorded in an intimate setting with Norah on piano and Laufey on guitar and cello. Christmas With You is out digitally on November 10, with a 7-inch vinyl to follow on December 15. Options include a red color variant which will be available exclusively via official artist stores and the Blue Note Store.
Laufey will also be the featured guest on Norah’s podcast Norah Jones Is Playing Along for the final episode of the year on November 21.
In other Norah news, yesterday she announced “Norah Jones: Vive En La Habana – A Musical Journey Through Cuba’s Cultural Heart,” a historic cultural exchange set for February 16-19, 2024, in Havana, Cuba.
Presented by Dreamcatcher Events, “Norah Jones: Vive En La Habana – A Musical Journey Through Cuba’s Cultural Heart,” will feature the 9x Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter in a four-day experience celebrating the rich and diverse cultural tapestry of Cuba through music, education, and more. Highlights will include two unique headline performances from Jones and her band at Havana’s historic Teatro Martí on February 17 and 18, both featuring songs from throughout Jones’ critically acclaimed career.
